As I reflected on my students' ownership of the work in the yearbook, layout and composition seemed to command their attention the most.

If I wanted cooperation and individual accountability, then I needed to share the ownership of the classroom and the learning that occurred.

In order to sustain a yearlong group work environment, the classroom’s culture had to be definitively defined for a successful yearbook!
